Can you believe it, it’s been 100 days since President Obama took office and love him or hate him, time certainly has flown by. Tonight he will plead his case for you to like him in prime time, the eleventh of his prime time press conferences since taking office on January 20th.

He has held more press conferences in his first 100 days in office then every president next to President Bill Clinton and President Harry Truman.

That’s not the only thing on the tube tonight though, check out a new episode of LOST as more answers are untangled and immediately following that it’s the new show The Unusuals, which really is very unusual.

Of course there is the obligatory American Idol fix that everyone needs.

Who knows when all of this will start/end because our friend President Obama likes to talk and his press conferences have been known to extend past the usual 1 hour time limit…although I think when you’re the President you get as much time as you want.

Tax Night…

Uncle Sam is calling and his voice is getting louder and louder as tax day is here. Time to pay the piper and there’s only one way to do that, file your taxes. Whether you’re doing it online or are going to battle the long lines at the Post Office, it’s do or die on April 15th. Uncle Sam is relentless in his pursuit of his money and he’s already spent a lot of it, so this year he needs your return!!

Hopefully you’ll be getting money back, but either way it’s time to bite the bullet and file those bad boys.

If you’re looking for a place to help you file your taxes you can find one here. If you’ve already filled out the paperwork and just procrastinated on mailing them out, find the nearest post office to you here.

I know, I know, this isn’t really nightlife, but hey, with some post offices open until midnight, technically it can be considered nightlife!!

Dancing is allowed in Erie and this show will prove it. Featuring the musical stylings of Kenny Loggins and the fancy footwork of local students this is a show that is not to be missed.

It’s that time of year again. The sap is flowing from our beautiful trees and it’s time once again for the Asbury Woods Maple Festival. Stop by the Sugar Shack at Asbury Woods Nature Center and celebrate the season of Spring this weekend.

Once again this weekend the Easter Bunny will be making appearences at the Millcreek Mall, so you can always stop by and have the kids picture taken there as well.

Did you like the movie The Spitfire Grill? Well then you’ll love this musical adaptation at the Erie Playhouse. Don’t miss this great Saturday evening event.

Can’t make it out for Saturday night try Sunday on for size.

Los Angeles visits Tullio Arena to take on your Erie Bayhawks at 2p. Don’t miss this late season match-up this Sunday.

Funny man Lewis Black makes an appearence at the Warner Theater on Sunday night at 8p. You know him from the Daily Show with Jon Stewart on Comedy Central and from his own comedy specials…oh ya and from those Aruba commercials!! He’ll have you in stitches.

It’s the first weekend of spring, can you believe it? It’s time to get out of the house, roll down the car windows and let some of that fresh Erie, PA air in…ok, maybe that’s a bit of an exageration, but it is technically spring. So, smile!!

There’s lots to do this weekend, so let’s get right to it.

Tonight at Erie Island Coffee you can catch a great performance by acoustic sensation Michael Harvey. The show is called Acoustic Goodness, so it’s definately going to be good…I mean, GOOD is in it’s title!! Stop into Erie Island Coffee tonight at 7p for a great show.

On Saturday, if you’re looking for a quiet evening by the lake, stop by the Wine by the Lake festivities at the Bayfront Convention Center. With live music and over 14 wineries to taste it will be a nice evening all the way around. The evening begins at 5p.

If wine isn’t your speed, why not try toParty Like a Rockstar to benefit the Erie Art Museum. Get the VIP treatment, complete with Paparazzi, the red carpet treatment and your name at the door. Dress to impress, because you’ll only make it in if you’re looking like a star!!

Don’t let the party stop on Sunday night as you get the chance to relive your youth with a comeback performance from the New Kids on the Block. Check out NKOTB at the Erie Civic center for one night only!! You’ll be Hangin Tough all week long after this high energy performance.

This Weekend: Around Erie

Here’s your weekly update of things happening in and around Erie this weekend:

This weekend it’s all about the CRUE!! Ok, maybe not all about the Crue, there’s plenty going on, but we’re loving the Motley Crue show on Saturday night.

But first, let’s start with Friday night.

Friday night bring the kids to Gallery Night at the Erie Art Museum starting at 7p. This reception is open to the public.

Maybe a little basketball action is in order? Well the Bayhawks are at home tonight against Sioux Falls at the Tullio Arena.

If music is more your thing, check out the Karan Casey Band and Lunasa at 8p tonight at the Mary D’Angelo Performing Arts Center.

On Saturday night, check out the Crue for a one night performace with special guests Hinder and Theory of a Deadman at the Tullio Arena. Bring your hair extensions and you’ll feel like you’re right back in the 80′s with Dr. Feelgood!!

If something a little mellower is your flavor, check out the Erie Philharmonic presents Carmina Burana at the Warner Theater. The show starts at 8p.

Close out the weekend with another night of basketball as the Bayhawks are home against Sioux Falls for another basketball matchup!!
